How the American Board of Cosmetic Gynecology (ABCG) was Formed
The American Board of Cosmetic Gynecology (ABCG) was founded in 2018 as a specialized board to certify practitioners in the rapidly evolving field of cosmetic gynecology, with a focus on promoting safe and effective patient care.
By fostering a commitment to continuous education and innovation, the ABCG has established itself as a global leader in cosmetic gynecology. Our certification programs ensure practitioners remain aligned with evolving industry trends and best practices.
Establishing Global Standards
Since its inception, ABCG has conducted training programs in over 55 countries and has organized more than 200 specialized programs worldwide.
With a strong emphasis on hands-on training, the board has certified practitioners from diverse regions, creating a global impact in the field of cosmetic gynecology.
Advancing Cosmetic Gynecology Through Multidisciplinary Expertise
Cosmetic gynecology requires a deep understanding of the intricate structures of the female genital tract, which encompasses multiple interconnected systems.
The ABCG brings together specialists from diverse fields, including gynecology, plastic surgery, general surgery, and dermatology.
This collaborative approach fosters the development of unparalleled insights and techniques, advancing the field through the combined expertise of specialists.

The Certification Process
ABCG offers a comprehensive, multi-step certification process that ensures practitioners are highly skilled and knowledgeable. This involves three specialized levels, each building a deeper mastery of cosmetic gynecology.
Level 1
(Non-Surgical Diploma)
Open to OB-GYNS, GPS, NPs, and surgeons, Level 1 focuses on core non-surgical techniques such as lasers, injectables, and PRP through hands-on sessions with lectures. Participants who complete this level receive a diploma and qualify for Level 2.
Level 2
(Surgical Fellowship)
Level 2 provides specialized surgical training for gynecologists and surgeons, including live surgical demos and instruction on managing complications. Upon completion, participants receive an ABCG fellowship and qualify for Level 3.
Level 3
(Board Certification)
Building on Levels 1 and 2, Level 3 requires candidates to submit case logs, prepare with provided study resources, and pass an oral board exam. Successful completion grants full ABCG board certification in cosmetic gynecology.
