The Assessment Framework at a Glance
The ABCG assessment framework is a structured, progressive process designed to ensure competency at every level of practice:
Step 1: Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures
Practitioners gain expertise in techniques such as laser treatments, dermal fillers, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Training combines lectures with hands-on workshops to build a solid base in non-surgical aesthetics. Participants receive a diploma upon completion, marking their first milestone in the ABCG certification journey.
Step 2: Advanced Surgical Expertise
Exclusive to gynecologists, this level focuses on procedures like labiaplasty, hoodectomy, and perineoplasty. Candidates participate in detailed surgical lectures and intensive hands-on training to refine their operative skills. Completion of this level grants fellowship with ABCG, recognizing their advanced proficiency in cosmetic gynecology.
Step 3: Comprehensive Board Certification
Candidates demonstrate mastery through a two-part multiple-choice exam and an oral assessment. The oral exam is designed to review 20 non-surgical and 10 surgical cases completed by the candidate within the past year, evaluating their practical competency and decision-making skills. Successful completion earns full board certification with ABCG.

Dr. Ayman El-Attar is a renowned Aesthetic Physician and Surgeon, currently serving as the President of the American Board of Cosmetic Gynecology. He founded the International Aesthetic Gynecology Congress in Dubai and Asia Pacific in 2018 and is also the President of the American Aesthetic Association.

Dr. Mona Hardas
Michigan
Dr. Mona Hardas is a highly experienced obstetrician and gynecologist specializing in cosmetic gynecology and laparoscopic and robotic surgery. A member of the MRCOG and FACOG, she’s also trained at ISCG and IACG. As an Associate Clinical Professor at Michigan State University and a faculty member at the Functional Gynecology Institute, she has been teaching Cosmetic Gynecology since 2007.

Dr. George Kroumpouzos
Dr. George Kroumpouzos is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Brown University and the founder of GK Dermatology. He is internationally recognized for his work in aesthetic dermatology and genital rejuvenation. Dr. Kroumpouzos has published over 150 articles and several books, including the Text Atlas of Obstetric Dermatology. He is on the boards of both the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology and the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine.
